During this full-day tour of Hanoi you will visit memorials of war and disasters. What To Expect

Chua Tran Quoc
8AM - 8:30AM: We will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or Hanoi Opera House. First, you will set your foot at Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi from 6th century. The pagoda has a good position near West Lake. In Lunar New Year, the pagoda always attracts a big amount of people with good luck wishes before finishing the tour.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
Next destination is Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where keeps the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh president. You will listen to stories about Ho Chi Minh, a great father as well as the first president of Vietnam. He played an indispensable role in Vietnam reunion progress. We also visit the Stilt house, where the Great leader lived and worked until the last years of his life. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about Uncle Ho's simple life. In addition, stop by One Pillar Pagoda to admire one of the 4 symbols of Hanoi.

Temple of Literature & National University
Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam (Imperial Academy), which was considered the first university in Vietnam. Literature lake, Khue Van Pavilion, stele house... are valuable highlight objects that you cannot ignore. The tour guide will tell you about of 82 doctor stele stones with names of 1306 people standing until nowadays. After that, we will have lunch at local restaurant.

Vietnam Museum of Ethnology
This is the most recent yet probably the largest and undoubtedly the most interesting Museums in Ha Noi and Viet Nam. There are both indoors and outdoors section, while the in – housed exhibition is particularly informative, the outdoors display and activities make the museum stand out from the rest. There are a number of houses modeling after the traditional architecture of ethnic minorities, especially those who live in Northern and Central highlands. The Museum closes on Mondays and New Year Holidays, we visit Ho Chi Minh museum OR Vietnamese women museum instead

Imperial Citadel of Thang Long
We start in the afternoon with Thang Long Imperial Citadel, which is a complex of relics associated with the history of Thang Long - Dong Kinh and Hanoi city starting from the pre-Thang Long period (An Nam dominated the 7th century) through the Dinh - Tien Le dynasties, flourished under the Ly, Tran and Le dynasties and the citadel of Hanoi under the Nguyen Dynasty. This is a massive architectural work, built by kings in many historical periods and has become one of the most important monuments in the system of Vietnamese monuments.
With every Monday, Thang Long Imperial Citadel will be closed. If departing on Monday, the attractions of Thang Long Imperial Citadel will be compensated with tickets to visit Ngoc Son Temple.

Hoa Lo Prison
We will continue tour at Hoa Lo prison, one of the most “terrible hell” in Vietnam in 20th century. The prison was established 1896 by French colonial government to detain political prisoners. Spend your time to listen stories about Vietnam war from tour guide while observing items in the prison.

Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake)
It is center of Hanoi with Turtle tower, Ngoc Son Temple, furthermore, you could discover the Vietnamese traditional and French colonial architecture through buildings surrounding the lake.
4PM: End of Hanoi City tour, the car will take you back to the hotel in the Old Quarter. You can rent a cyclo around the Old Quarter and Sword Lake, or have water puppet show (performance schedule may change depending on the specific period) at your own expense.
