Overview

Cuc Phuong National Park is considered one of Vietnam’s most important biodiversity hotspots, home to the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre; a non-profit site dedicated to rehabilitating animals rescued from Southeast Asia’s illegal wildlife trade. The centre, which was established in 1993 with support from the Frankfurt Zoological Society, also hosts researchers from international universities and conservation groups. Nearby Turtle Conservation Center is where 20 species of turtle and tortoise have been rescued and rehabilitated. In addition, Prehistoric Man Cave, houses human skeletons and stone tools dated to some 7,500 years old. The Bong Center lets you walk on an easy paved road to visit one of many ancient trees in this beautiful forest.
