Our country has over 50% population working in the agricultural sector yet in the crowded city we rarely see their sights and know much about their real life.

Bavi Group Farming Tour will help you participate in real farming activities, meet real farmers, and take a peek into their everyday life as well as their dream and challenges.

Bavi, 48km/ 30 miles from Hanoi capital. Due to Bavi peaceful and natural environment, the countryside is home to not only many animals but also a variety of farmers from bees, cows, goat, ostrich to tea, rice, and veggies ...

Our project is created since 2008 to promote agricultural tourism by connecting local farmers to the world. Through our mutual parnership, we can provide interesting authentic farming experience to you as well as supported local farmers economically.

What To Expect

Van Hoa

Depart from Hanoi at 8am at your hotel or an designated address to Bavi (1.5 hours – 49km).

Arrive at Bavi local dairy farm, we will meet the people who work here and learn about Vietnamese dairy origin. How the French imported their cows all the way from Europe and made Bavi the first prominent dairy producing province. While enjoying variety of dairy products such as fresh milk, milk cakes, yogurt cake; our group also learn about the challenges that Bavi dairy famers are facing today. (30 minutes)

Next, we will go to Van Hoa village, a peaceful farming community reside at the foot of Bavi mountain range. A group of Muong native dancers will welcome and give us a charming ethnic show. At their sacred shrine and the thousand year old banyan tree, we also learn about Bavi history, myth, and how its people come to settle this land. (45 minutes)

Taking pictures and saying goodbye to these lovely ladies, we will ride on the Vietnamese tractors to meet a local rice famer and her daughter. Here our group will partake in agricultural activities such as planting rice, catching fish, and harvesting veggies. With all the fresh ingredients, we will make our own rice cake, spring roll and grilled fish for our wonderful lunch. (2 hours)

After the morning tour, we can rest in the stilt house at Bavi Homestead for the National Park afternoon tour.

Ba Vi National Park

Bavi National Park is often refered as the Green Lung of Hanoi capital. With a total area of over 10,000 hectares, Ba Vi National Park has everything to offer, from an amazingly biodiverse area of tourist resorts, a string of mysterious French ruins to a host of intriguing mini-hikes and trekking trails. (2 – 4hours)
