Overview

In the morning our guide will meet you at your hotel and you will start your day by visiting Bat Trang pottery village, located about 13 km from Hanoi centre. Upon arrival at 500 years-old Bat Trang village, you will see all pottery and ceramic showrooms scattered all over the village. Stop at a small family workshop to see how they produce ceramic products. Watch how artisans form, paint and glaze their products, and then practice your talent with wet clay and a mound by yourself.
Before, the entire village was devoted to this art, but today, there are only a handful of families who are keeping the tradition alive. Visit the home of an elder craftsman and his family and learn about their efforts in preserving this soulful art form.
